Boudoir photography is nothing new, it began in the 1800's for brides as a gift to the husband-to-be on their wedding day. However it can be given as a gift to a special someone at any time and for any reason.
It is more popular today than ever before with an increase in clients simply wanting to capture a special time in their life.
It is a photographic style featuring intimate and sensual images done in a hotel suite, a quaint bed & breakfast or the privacy of your own home. Location is very important for this style of photography. The photos are typically done in lingerie, nudity is more often implied or partial rather than explicit. The images are not intended to be seen by a wide audience, but rather to remain under the control of the client.
This is your photo session, I'm just the photographer. My job is behind the camera and to assist you if needed. Usually they turn out to be a collaboration of ideas. That seems to work best.
Clients have ranged in age from 19 to 54.
